Welcome to the Spiegelman Laboratory
The Spiegelman lab is at the forefront of innovation and discovery in the field of molecular metabolism. Our lab at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School blends basic science with clinical knowledge to identify new therapeutic targets for the treatment of human disease. We use novel biochemical and genetic tools to parse out key players in energy balance to combat metabolic syndrome and chronic disorders associated with metabolic dysfunction. These include obesity, diabetes and neuromuscular disorders. As current projects continue to progress, please refer to our research page for a more detailed review of ongoing research programs.
